“…A light, bright crimson. A perfumed and attractive bouquet of red cherry, redcurrant, pomegranate and lavender scents. There's an earthy spice here, too. Medium bodied, this has both good intensity and energy, with well-mannered, fine-boned tannins on the persistent finish.”
- Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion

‘Dans les Bois’ translates from French into ‘In the Woods’ and represents this incredible vineyard which is surrounded by natural forest.
Tasting Notes:
Notes of forest berries, twigs and alpine air. There is plenty of classic red berry fruits and dried rose petals too. Strawberries, mulberries and cinnamon muffin flavours are the go here. There is a hint of tea leaf and the tannins give nice substance to complement the fruit profile.
Winemaking Notes:
Harvested on the 7th March 2023
Vinification & Elevage: Fruit was partially destemmed and fermented as whole berries, with 30% as whole bunches. On skins for 18 days then pressed to oak (20% new) for malolactic fermentation on lees. In oak for 10 months before racking prior to bottling. 250 dozen produced.
Viticultural Notes:
The fruit for this MV6 clone Pinot Noir comes from two Upper Yarra vineyards, 60% Woori Yallock and 40% Yarra Junction.
2023 was a vintage where a wet spring provided challenges, yet through hard work and perseverance we enjoyed a mild and kind harvest period that has produced wines of vibrancy and finesse.
