Tasting Notes:
Luscious and deeply layered, this soft, smooth and juicy young pinot is certain to build depth and texture as it ages. Heady, floral scents of rose petals, red cherries and earthy nuances unfold spicy notes and baked earth. Velvet-smooth, long and complete, its vivacious, mouthfilling presence of red cherries, blueberries and damson plum has almost a sour edge at the finish, which extends with power and presence.
Winemaking Notes:
Vinification: De-stemmed to open fermenter (50% whole bunch), short cold soak, natural primary and malolactic fermentation, 23 days on skins, pressed to French oak (20% new).
Elevage: 8 months in oak, racked off lees just prior to bottling. Unfined and unfiltered.
