Toolangi Pauls Lane Shiraz 2018

RRP: $62.00
SOLD OUT
Tasting Notes: Earthy, peppery and gamey aromas of cranberries, cassis, red currents and blood plums are backed by cedary oak and lifted by a fresh floral perfume. It’s medium-bodied, long and complete, with a soft generous presence of spicy fruit supported by fine, dusty tannins, finishing with pristine flavour and a pleasing savoury aspect.
Winemaking Notes:
Viticultural Notes: First established in 1995, Toolangi Vineyards is located in the Yarra Valley adjoining the Toolangi State Forest. This Shiraz is grown on fine clay loam and produces grapes which represent the unique site. Low cropped and hand harvested from 17 year old vines of PT23 clone grapes on A1 and D1 Blocks.
The 2018 harvest will be remembered fondly by winemakers in the Yarra Valley. It was a rare season that gave above average yields and excellent quality fruit. Dry sunny conditions with cool overnight temperatures provided good natural acidity and concentrated wines at lower alcohol levels.
